What is Kendama??
Kendama is a skill toy that originated in Japan and came to America 15 years ago. In kendama, players put their hand-eye coordination to the test, trying to hone their skills landing a variety of tricks.
Design Objectives
The product can hold all the accessories and equipment needed by the user when they go have a kendama session.
The product must be compact and not interfere with the movement of the user.
The product material integrity must be high to deal with constant usage.
Inspiration
The design draws inspiration from heavy-duty materials tailored to withstand the rigors of the outdoors, while retaining a familiar and comforting geometry. By seamlessly blending robust functionality with timeless aesthetics, we ensure reliability and appeal in every environment, from rugged landscapes to urban settings.

During this phase, the objective was to determine the appropriate dimensions for the day pack. It also provided an opportunity to familiarize oneself with sewing techniques prior to finalizing the product. This involved exploring the patterning of each panel, enabling identification and resolution of any size or placement issues within the bag design.

Tech Pack
The tech pack provides a detailed overview of the materials utilized throughout the product, highlighting their specific placements and functionalities. Additionally, it includes callouts for key measurements, ensuring precision in the dimensions of each component. This comprehensive document serves as a crucial reference for manufacturers to accurately reproduce the design according to specifications.
